WACKY WEDNESDAY

So in the Davis house, got a call yesterday from the school and Beedee B had gotten the flu once again for the 2nd time.  So I had to go to the school and pick her up, bring her home and start the sanitizing all over again.  Trying to keep little Rexy away and praying no one else would get the dreaded sickness.  She is doing a little better today, but not going to let her overdo it like before.  Daddy is off today so we have been spending the day resting and taking care of sick Bee and Rexy.

Having steaks and taters for dinner, Daddy went off to the grocery store after picking up little man from school.  I am really going to miss them being car riders when I go back to work in March, but the time is nearing for Mommy to return to the workforce and help Daddy not carry the burden of supporting the family all on his own.

Sad that Mema was going to come but now she can't because Bray is sick, but hoping really soon she can get over her or us up there to show off little Rex.  He is absolutely precious.  I cannot believe he will be a month old tomorrow, boy time sure does fly "during the day," but sure as heck not so fast at night.

Rex is still not sleeping very well at night, waking up about every 3 hours to feed, but now that we have changed his formula, giving him gripe water and prune juice hopefully we will figure out his sweet little body soon.

Hump day is officially almost over.

Tired Tuesday...

Rex has been a little constipated the past week or so and it has been a really trying time for Daddy and me.  We had to start supplementing formula due to Mommy going back to work in a month.  The formula we first put him on didn't settle well, so after speaking to his doctor we switched him to a easier digesting formula.  Well it didn't seem to help right away, so after a suggestion from my Motherinlaw and Aunt-in-law they informed me that Nana MAC always said to put a little sugar in the bottle, so I started and it worked, yeah!!!  He finally went potty on his own this morning and it made me feel so good for him, I know he was in severe pain.  He is sleeping so peaceful right now I hate to even move him.  He is growing by leaps and mounds, he weighed in at 10 1/2lbs and 20" long at his 1 month WCC.  We go back at 2 months to start those dreaded vaccines.

Robbie is doing amazing as Daddy to number 3, he truly amazes me at his care and compassion with Rex.  He seems to be the only one that can calm little Rex down and rock him to sleep.  Rex truly does recognize and love his Daddy already more than ever.  I couldn't ask for a better husband and father to all 3 of our children. He is simply wonderful.  God has truly blessed me.

Brayden just got over the Swine Flu and seemed to bounce back pretty quickly, she was so sick for a  few days.  The meds the doctor gave her really seemed to just knock the flu right out.  She did miss Valentines Day at school and that was kind of sad, but she enjoyed spending the day with Mommy, Daddy & Rex at home.  She is growing up too quickly, as she will be 9 in April.  I cannot believe 9 years ago my sweet 1st baby was born and I was clueless as how to be a good mother, but with Gods grace I am confident that I have turned into an amazing mother to all 3 of my children.

Hunter is all boy, he loves to ride his bike, climb the tree and pretend he is a cop just like his Daddy.  He puts on his police vest, shirt and gun belt and heads outside to protect our house just as if he were a man.  He is adorable.  Struggling a bit in school, but we have gotten him the help he needs and more one on one attention that will help him overcome his ADHD hurdles.  He is an amazingly bright child, with a huge heart of gold.

I am doing well adjusting to being a Mommy to #3, very tired, but nothing God cannot supply the energy for.  I keep on keeping on daily!  I have bounced back to my always staying busy self and have managed to start dejunking the house.  It is amazing how much I let go even though I stayed busy when I was pregnant.  There are just some things you cannot do when you are preggo, or just choose not to do.  I think I just hit the high points, and now I am bouncing back to my old self.  I am truly a clone of my Grandmother who always stays busy and never sits down.  I am very thankful for my family and don't want to seem to "braggy," but I have the best husband in the world and I love my children with all my heart.  My kids and my husband complete my life.  This week is going to be long with Daddy working his long week, but just glad he is on days!

God Bless you ALL!

My joys as a Wife and Mommy!

8 years ago I met the man of my dreams, Mr. Robert Davis, and I fell in love, I mean fell "hard" in love instantly.  We dated for several months and then realized God had a plan for babies in our future.  Everyone thought we were nuts for having a child so soon after dating, but the positive pregnancy test led to a promise ring, engagement and later a wedding.  I know that God hand made this man for my life as he is everything I have ever dreamed about.  In fact I made a list of the things I wanted in a man for my life and my hubbs fits the list perfectly.  It took it several years for God to match our love together, but looking back it was well worth the wait.  I could not be happier.  So we were a family of three and we were expecting a little boy we would call Hunter who arrived June 2004.  Our wedding was something we had to pay for ourselves so it took a while, but that finally happened in January 2007.  Our seal of our love was good enough in our eyes from the very beginning, but now it was official in the courts eyes.  I have never met a man in my entire life that completed me and matched my personalty perfectly.  He cares for me and the kids more than life itself and always has our best interest at heart, no matter what.  He is hard working and devoted to being the best husband and father he could be, I am blessed.

In February 2010, we decided we wanted to finish our family with a baby and make it a completed 5 member team, so after being on birth control for 6 years I went off the pill in hopes it wouldn't take long.  We were going to give ourselves 6 months to try to conceive.  So March 1st started our trying and by April 21st I was bringing home 4 positive pregnancy tests to my husband who was working in the back yard.  He was the happiest man alive, and we started the path to welcome in the final and 3rd baby to our family.  A boy is what we were told we were having and my husband decided he would be named "Rex Cooper Davis."

On January 24th early at 6:30am we ventured to the hospital to start celebrating our newest babies birthday.  He has completed our family and makes us the big family of 5.  Coming from being an only child I have a lot to accept as siblings do argue and feud, but I am getting there.  So with an 8, 6 and 3 week old in the house our schedules are packed, but nonetheless they are packed with love, devotion and gratitude for having all we could ever pray or ask God for.

Thank you God for the opportunity to be a Mommy, a wife and a child of yours.  I appreciate this opportunity that you have trusted me to carry out and I promise I will always try my best to put my family first right beside you God.

Rex Cooper Davis

Rex Cooper Davis was born to our already family of 4 on January 24, 2011.  He weighed in at 7lbs 9oz and was 18 1/2" tall.  He is the angel we have waited for, for almost 9 months.  He joins his sister Brayden who is 8 and his brother Hunter who is 6.  We are a complete family of 5 now and could not be happier!
